40 years ago I injured my lower back. With age, the back often gets injured again and loses mobility when bending forward. It was getting harder and harder to tie my laces, so I opted for laceless shoes like loafers, moccasins, sneakers and athletic shoes like these washable ones from Propét. The original white and navy pair I bought was $39.99, just to give you an idea of how hard inflation has hit this product over the years. However, these washable shoes became very popular and soon came in brown, black, gray and yellow. I even took a pair of smoke gray boots I'd had for a few months and dyed them navy blue to match the gear I wore on the team. (I still don't understand why Propet never thought of painting these shoes blue or even red or burgundy)? Anyhow, these shoes are sturdy shoes and because they are washable, they often get wet while boating, fishing, car washing and just in a downpour. They can be washed very well and are designed for 24 months of continuous use. They are easy to walk on and very abrasion resistant. I sincerely recommend that potential buyers purchase at least one pair (white and navy) to try. Soon after, you'll probably want to buy other colors.
