Review on Multimeter Carrying Klein Tools 69401 by Timothy Weems

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Too big and too thin for MM400

This is clearly a "universal" case that tries to accommodate all shapes and sizes. Unfortunately, if you buy a smaller gauge (like the MM400), the case is too tall and just takes up space. It has a slim front pocket, but trying to fit cables and other loose items in it isn't as easy as it should be, so 9 times out of 10 I just leave everything loose in the pocket. The case isn't wide enough to fold the lead wires together and place them on the side of the meter, so you have to place them in front of the meter, which causes the case to stick out when you close it. Conclusion: The bag is unusable (impractical), the case is not wide enough and too high. If you had a clamp meter this case would probably be fine, but it's clearly not the right size for my Klein meter. It's annoying because Klein lists this case (probably their only case) as an "official" accessory for every counter they sell. Most likely I'll return it and buy a case closer to my gauge.
