Best buy I've ever made

I can't think of anything that I don't personally use that would be as good a buy as this door. When I got this I was hoping I could give my Great Dane mix (he's about 4 inches smaller than a full Great Dane) access to my air conditioned mud room. Great success! When it rained I had to lock him in the bathroom. because he's worried about the cage. I had a kennel for him but he won't use it because he's afraid I'll lock him up. second pup, Pit/Catahoula mix. She likes it too. They can come and go as they please and no longer have to worry about having to go outside for me. My dogs can come in and without losing much air conditioning or heat. Even if the dogs hear something outside that they have to bark at, they can bark once but then run outside and bark at it. So the house is much quieter The installation was the hardest part of cutting a hole in the door, but it's also very easy with the right tools. animals get in. I personally don't have the problem. My dogs protect my garden from pests and nothing gets into my garden to get in. If I go somewhere and take the dogs, I put a cover plate in it and that solves this potential problem. things to consider. My tailgate has a large window and due to the size of my large dog I had to mount it higher in the door. So if I'm installing a door lock when I'm not at home, I have to bend it a bit to get in. It's flexible enough to do this and it's not that much of a problem. *I had to replace the magnet that keeps the plastic flap closed one day because I think one of my puppies got bored and chewed on it. But it was a quick fix and you can buy these replacement parts from the company's website. * Weather. There are pretty strong storms where I live. I've probably had 6 storms in a few years installing this and they were strong enough to open it up. Find out which direction storms typically blow in your area to help you decide if the wind will open the door. In the south we have storms mostly from the south, but in winter the storms come from the north. The storms that affected it were from the north, and you can hear it blowing just enough to move the valve off the magnet. So you hear it click several times. It's annoying. Also, the water blows a little and you need to put on a towel. *The last problem is inevitable. It's getting dirty. Dogs are attracted to his nose and he gets dirty. I don't know why that surprised me, but I was. So it has to be cleaned on both sides.
