Wall mountable

We wanted to fit this into a new wall rather than a door. The wall is wider so instead of holding the pieces together with the screws provided I drilled 6 holes in the flap piece and attached it directly to the wall. Very easy!

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • Annoying

The dog uses it best in doors, gates and ramps

For about a month and no problems. I like that the flap locks in the raised position. We have Bully with a fat ass and she's doing great. It took her a while to get used to it, but once she did, she loves it and her humans too.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Great for our puppies, best dogs

My brother made this for us. It would be too difficult. If you have the right tools, blah blah. Dogs pick it up right away and can come and go as they please. Our oldest has an underactive thyroid and has to walk a lot. It's reassuring to know he won't have any accidents. He's feeling better too. I'd say if you're on the fence, go for it.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Dear

Better than Pet Smart Door

I have a unique opportunity to compare/review two brands of large dog doors. I recently installed 2 dog doors, one was this brand, BarksBar, the other was Pet Smart. Competitive price. Installing BarksBar was much easier. After installation, both doors worked perfectly. I prefer BarksBar for three reasons. 1. The BarksBar cutting template was made of thick plastic so it was easy to trace. Pet Smart you had to cut out the paper template and then try to trace the flimsy paper. 2. The "tunnel"โ€ฆ

Best buy I've ever made

I can't think of anything that I don't personally use that would be as good a buy as this door. When I got this I was hoping I could give my Great Dane mix (he's about 4 inches smaller than a full Great Dane) access to my air conditioned mud room. Great success! When it rained I had to lock him in the bathroom. because he's worried about the cage. I had a kennel for him but he won't use it because he's afraid I'll lock him up. second pup, Pit/Catahoula mix. She likes it too. They can come andโ€ฆ
