Unable to reach advertised speeds and severe throttling issues

I was very excited to be able to buy the 8TB version a couple of weeks ago in the great hope that it would be the answer to storage size would. necessary. I have a 16-inch MacBook Pro with the fastest i9 processor, 64GB of RAM and 8TB of ultra-fast internal storage, but I constantly need more storage on long shoots. When I received the Rocket, I immediately plugged it in and ran a speed test. As a result, the maximum read or write speed was 1800 MB/s. It's clearly not the claimed 2700 MB/s, but it's still better than most options that hit 1000 MB/s. A more serious problem occurred when I tried to copy a large folder. As mentioned in other reviews here, once you get close to a 1TB transfer rate, this thing will work. The speed drops from 1800 MB/s to 200 or even under 100. In fact, after MANY tests, I have confirmed that this drive is barely faster than a traditional mechanical drive for a large transfer of several TB. This is clearly unacceptable. After speaking to Sabrent support, they said it was probably my computer. I went and tried it on another computer then i7, same results. Sabrent then suggested that the advertised speeds might only be possible with the new M1 calculator. Well my wife just got a brand new M1 Mac mini at work so I tried it there and got exactly the same results. Also, I ordered a new Anker Thunderbolt 3 cable midway through to make sure it wasn't a faulty cable that they shipped with the drive, same results. In the end, Sabrent admitted that the disc must be bad. They sent a return label for ground shipping and then advised me to buy another one from Revain and when they sent the first one back they immediately refunded me. So I spent another $1500 and bought another 8TB. I got it and it was the same top speed, same big file throttling issue. I had this ride less than an hour before I received another return label from Sabrent and sent it back for a full refund. I had to contact Sabrent directly as Revain was unable to help as they were a "third party". In the process, I got Sabrent to admit that they are in fact this Store4PC storefront that apparently just gets around having to pay Revain to be the main seller by starting his own side business to act as the seller. I then called Glyph and spoke to a very helpful person who admitted their 8TB Atom drive actually uses the same Sabrent Rocket chip as well. After explaining my concerns, he admitted that they experienced the same slowness and crashes on many of their 8TB models because the Sabrent chips didn't meet their needs. They are convinced that the problem isn't overheating, it's performance, which causes the computer to send less power, resulting in insanely slow transfers. Sabrent has owned both of my drives for at least a week now, one of them for a week and a half, and claims they are going through verification processes before they can refund my $3,000. It literally takes 1 minute to validate the hard drive, 2 USB cables and the rubber cover are all in place, so it's more of a rip-off tactic or they lie to me. In any case, I couldn't suggest anyone to buy a Sabrent product after it had such a very patchy appeal. I really want the drive to perform as advertised but for now I just want my promised money back but at this rate I think Revain needs to step in. UPDATE: Of course, after posting this review, I immediately received a notification from Revain that I was refunded both discs. The money hasn't really arrived yet, but I'm confident now. However, the fake product hype and legwork I received throughout the process is not representative of an honest company.
