These binoculars are good for astronomy. Using a tripod and binoculars, I was able to see Jupiter's Galilean moons and even determine the orientation of Saturn's rings. The rings looked like an extension of the planet, no gaps between the planet and the rings were visible. The zoom function was a bit stiff and the focus had to be adjusted after zooming. The binoculars offer the possibility to adjust the focus of the right eyepiece. Great binoculars for the price.
