Review on 🔧 Gates DriveAlign 38188 - Advanced Automatic Belt Drive Tensioner by Tommy Rao

I decided to purchase this tensioner after testing 5 different tensioners from Dayco that failed on my old 99 contour last year. The casting is very similar to the original Ford part which I have kept for part numbers and appears to be made from a higher quality material than other aftermarket parts. So far it's not hanging around like the ones Dayco Advance Auto and AutoZone are offering and it seems to be working as advertised. I saved the last Dayco I removed to set up as a backup because I'm too wary of a tensioner failure after so much going through it.
