Review on πŸš™ Curt 31432 2-Inch Front Receiver Hitch for Jeep Wrangler JK: A Versatile & Reliable Off-Roading Accessory by Jesse Stewart

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This is a hitch: Receiver Front Mount

2017 JK Wrangler Unlimited Sport. I'd give it 5 stars except that Kurt still hasn't fixed the daring issue of driver's side bolt hole misalignment. Also, the instructions are terribly bad. So unless you have a decent level of ingenuity or a mechanical background, this could take more than an hour than mine. Removing the grille, the bumper top plate (drill out the center of the plastic anchors (2) and buy easy replacement parts from NAPA) and the pump which is located behind the bumper makes it easy. Also protective plate. Note; If you want to have the skid plate back on the vehicle, it needs to be shortened a bit. The protective plate can be easily removed with simple POP anchor clips. The same goes for the top of the grill. There are latches on the underside of the grill that must be released by pulling the grill forward. There are two bolts that mount under the bumper with bolts and anchor plates under the nuts. There are 4 bolts (2 on each driver/passenger side) that attach to the frame. A rectangular anchor plate is attached to the lower bolts, and a nut with an extension is attached to the upper bolts. The only real issue I had was the same one mentioned in almost every review. The screws on the driver's side don't quite fit. I used a jack to raise the hitch just enough so that the top bolt was on the driver's side. No luck with the floor. It took a 1/2 drill and some widdiling. Not very difficult to do and easy to achieve, but still annoying.
