I replaced my old cover and rotor with these and it made a HUGE difference in performance to my 1995 Bayliner with a 3.0 liter Mercruiser engine. The old cover and rotor were very old and corroded. My max RPM at full throttle used to be around 3900, now I can accelerate to 4500 at full throttle. I was able to remove the old parts and replace them in about 10 minutes. It would have been less time, but my old rotor was rusty on the distributor shaft so I had to loosen it off the shaft a bit (I used a screwdriver to gently pry it off). :)
