Review on ☕ Gaggia Anima Prestige Automatic Coffee Machine: Super Automatic Frothing for Barista-Quality Latte, Macchiato, Cappuccino, and Espresso Drinks with Programmable Options by Juan Lockwood

After 1 year (2500 cups of espresso)

History: We have had several Jura Capressos in the last 6 years. High price and high maintenance, they stopped working when they needed cleaning and then returned to a factory approved store ($300) every time, postage and packaging not included no matter the problem. This cycle took place approximately every 12-24 months, depending on usage. Gaggia Anima Prestige fully automatic coffee machine - after 6 months in use: We wanted to buy a Jura first. The models we receive cost $2,500 more. The only reason the Gaggia caught our attention was because the model was used in the company's break room with phenomenal results. Results like great tasting espresso, latte and coffee, no failures, no "sending it in to the factory for cleaning." /6 months) Results for 6 months: As one of our users is an engineer, the following perspective is multiple TMI:1. Maintenance: For us, the most important maintenance requirement for a quality automatic espresso machine was the ability to remove the coffee brew group. Very easy to clean - as an engineer you like to take things apart and learn a lot. Quickly realized that maintaining the interior of these complex machines is critical, especially given the observation of mold and other potential mechanical issues on previous "1.5 year service” machines. Leak-free approach: We had water leaks in our previous machines that needed servicing. We have found the hard way that with regular removal of the water tank, the sealing faces and O-ring will show signs of wear due to limescale contamination in the hard water and coffee particles migrating to the sealing faces, eventually leading to water build-up. . leaks. So a few years ago we started using only distilled water in our previous machines (dispose of water care filter, descaling tablets) and found that we no longer have to remove the water tank or worry about the water circuit (note: to confirm the condition of the O-rings and cleanliness, we remove the tank every 6 months).3. The inside of the machine and the moving parts appear to be made of very high quality plastic with no signs of chemical etching from thorough cleaning (great care of cleanliness!).4. We blend our coffee beans 50/50 (medium roast/dark roast) - muscle memory from previous machines! Lighter grains tend to absorb some of the excess oil, which helps reduce oil build-up. We will update in 1 year, happy espresso for everyone. 1 YEAR LATER [2500 Espresso]: still 5 stars, bulletproof machine. Everyone cleans the brew group once every 1-1/2 months or so. That's it, pretty cool machine and maintenance free, just clean the brew group!
