I was looking for a filter to filter dust when the Santa Ana winds blow out of the California desert, but a recent fire put us a mile to the evacuation lines, the smoke was unbearable and we're ready to take our to leave house. but I remembered the requirements for filters for this filter, so I set the air conditioner to circulate air through the filter. The air in the house became breathable again, and the smoke and ash in the house actually dissipated enough for us to stay indoors. Now I will use this filter all year round.
