Needed to create a vacuum for a unit I installed at home - I called the HVAC pros (7 total), lowest price for it was $700. @ $140 This vacuum and gauge set was very attractive, but there were some concerns about how quickly it would fall off and whether it would burn out if evacuated fully. The initial vacuum took several minutes - it ran for 15 minutes before checking for leaks. Then ran for an hour to fully evacuate any moisture. There are no problems with the pump. The gauge set had an issue with a high sideline not fully depressing/restricting the Schrader valve to measure correctly. Reinstalled twice and the second time reinstalled and read everything as expected. FYI, my experience with vacuum cleaners comes from DO-160 Section 5 testing, so I didn't hesitate to do it myself.
