A bit tricky with no gear to set #

I am trying to install a set of Yukon gears on the rear of a Jeep 35. Trouble is, they don't give us aisle depth anymore! I called to ask about this and they said it was a "guarantee" issue, people wouldn't stick to the gear pattern! They actually give you the shim spec for the gear regardless of what the original gears were. They give you game and you test them on the equipment pattern. So, here's what you need to do: Save or buy an extra large gearbox mount and hone it to slide, install the gearbox spacer to their spec, and install the gearbox. subpoena. Reinstall carrier and set for proper clearance as on ring gear (0.006), then apply gear grease and inspect pattern. If the pattern is broken, pull the carrier, remove the gear and change the shim to change the depth, reinstall the gear to preload, reinstall the carrier and reinstall the shim until you are back at 0.006 (you changed the gear depth so the other shims didn't work). work) and then apply grease again to check the template. Repeat the steps until you get the right pattern. Now you have to take it all apart again and put the matching gearbox bearings into the gearbox and then do the final assembly! Assemble sleeve bearing gear, install and measure depth, pull out and add shims for correct depth, inspect and pull out, bearings etc done! Now all I have to do is adjust the play on the carrier. If you measure everything correctly when applying the lube, you'll have a nice pattern to prove it. Yukon Gear is a bunch of bitches who are more interested in covering their asses, instructions are vague and vague so when your gears start howling they have an "off" when it comes to warranty. I love their shim packs, but I would never fit another set of their gears.
