Review on πŸ”’ Zyliss Lock N' Lift Manual Handheld Can Opener - 7" with Locking Mechanism, White/Gray by Charles Alvey

Revainrating 1 out of 5

It was PITA until I figured out why it worked selectively.

Opener on the right. What's wrong with a can opener. Works well for some banks. On others it didn't work and slipped when the handle was rotated and lifted to prevent the blade from cutting through the can. It took a lot of attempts to open a can. I finally had time to really look at this to see that the problem was WTH. It turns out that thicker metal cans put pressure on the opener, causing the top and bottom handles to stretch. The transmission loses traction and slips. I've found that pushing to the right with the heel of my hand while my fingers are pressing on the top handle on the left works to keep the gears from separating and losing contact. Bad design. I do not recommend.
