I got this after seeing Sam the chef use it to check the internal temperature of various foods. As far as I can see they are all the same, so I bought this one (which was the lowest price at the time). It works well and quickly (2-3 seconds to get an accurate peak temp). As a bonus, it has a magnet that attaches it to my gas stove. Always at hand. I use it to make sure meat is at a safe temperature and recently used it on bread to check internal temp. I don't know how I lived without her. And this one is just as good as the rest.
