Review on πŸ“¦ Flirc Raspberry Pi 4 Case (Silver): A Stylish and Durable Protective Shell for Your Device by Jonathan Bennett

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quiet and cool: computers and accessories

My Raspberry Pi 4 came with the original case and ran consistently at around 60-70Β°C, with occasional temperature spikes up to 80Β°C. Instead, I decided to buy a fan case, thinking it would cool it down, which it certainly did. With the fan cover on, my temperature dropped to around 35Β°C. But unfortunately, the fan hum was so loud and distracting that I had to move my Raspberry Pi from my desk to the farthest corner of my room (where I could still hear it, but less so). Happy with the Pi cooler but not happy with the fan noise, I decided to try this case based on the reviews. I'm very glad I did! It runs slightly hotter than the fan housing and now reads around 43C. It is absolutely silent and the case looks very stylish. I can finally put my favorite little pee back on my desk where she looks great and I can love her and pet her and call her George. The aluminum of the case gets hot, but I had no problem with it being hot to the touch. I can definitely still pick it up and grab/hold it with no issues. English muffins from my toaster are MUCH more damaging to my hands. The black top/bottom is made from a nice, soft, rubberized material. Recommend trying this out if you are looking for a quiet cooling case. My Pi use cases so far: - DHCP/DNS Pihole - gBridge - Home Assistant - MQTT - Web/Proxy Server
