Sunforce 7 amp solar controller

Bad quality: Really cheap quality. The attached instructions do not contain enough information. The site is just as uninformative. Cheap hookup wire (low current) and not equipped with screw terminal connections. Good: Product works as advertised. Surprisingly, the voltage "regulates" to the required value so as not to overcharge the battery with a simple switching operation. However, be sure to check the actual output voltage, you must BEFORE apply a load to the battery side of the controller. Otherwise, voltages of up to 20 volts can be detected at the output! Obviously applying an actual load will cause the controller to output the correct voltage range - I'm lucky because I bought 4 units! The LEDs will flash alternately (fast if the input voltage is good and slow if the solar panel voltage is low or absent). The manual does NOT specify the order in which the LEDs will flash. (1) Fast blinking LED - good voltage/current (2) Slow blinking LED - low/no voltage/current (3) solid green - fully charged (4) solid amber - possibly no load OR very low voltage/current I recommend you go and buy them. This is a really good deal and does the job at the best price! I use them in Jamaica to power my devices during power outages (that happens a lot here). Of course used with solar panels and DC-AC inverters. Consideration was given to using a generator, but there are too many accidents with generators, they are too noisy, too cumbersome, and there is a problem with fuel after a hurricane. Solar energy is freely available, so this was the best option. Hope this helps all readers!
