Since there are often small grandchildren in the house, I have key hooks next to all interior doors with a lock. We recently repainted the house and most are gone. Ordered these for our Schlage door handles and they are exactly the same as the original (I had another pair to compare) - same length and same efficiency. As with the original, you need to understand where to place them in order for them to work. I would recommend that people try them out beforehand so they don't panic if they have to use them. Despite being fairly basic pieces of metal, I felt the price was good and worth it, so I didn't have to assemble the hanger on the go. I now have copies in all areas where I need them plus two spares tucked away for later.
