Didn't work, went back.

So I tried different types of wood, but nothing good came of it. The blade appeared to have been engineered so that the cut would be smoother if the drill were pointed backwards rather than forwards. The part that cut a hole in the middle broke easily, but probably because the blade had to move backwards. I gave up and eventually came back.
