Good business! for computers and accessories

Bought when I was short on money and have never been disappointed since! Worked like a charm straight away with the included USB cable! But not without pros and cons: CONS: Large and clunky. For those with limited space, consider a smaller outdoor model or an indoor model. DVD burning speed doesn't seem to be such a big deal, but waiting half an hour to burn a full DVD at 4x speed is slow. I think 8X drives are already out there. Another downside is that the included recording software is Record Now (not the Max version), which isn't very helpful. You would need to get a copy of Nero 6 to take full advantage of this recorder. PROS: Works with almost all media I use! Also, the DVD+R discs I've burned so far work with Sony and Shinco DVD players, my Dell DVD-ROM, and my favorite XBOX (Phillips drive). Also, the design of the drive looks pretty cool. A few friends had this "OOOOOOOOOOOO" when they first noticed it. I don't know about the quality of the tech support and warranty as I've never had any issues with it! All I know is that there is a standard 1 year warranty, but really. For a $200 product, if it breaks it really isn't worth fixing. In general. I would recommend it to anyone just starting out in DVD burning. There are better discs on the market, but this one is quite suitable for a beginner and even a pro.

Pros
  • Compatible with Windows 98 SE, 2000, NT 4.0, Me and XP
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
