I used this thing and it stayed sharp from start to finish. All in all I did about 70 or 80 feet of skin. It's very useful! This worked great on primed pine with a 1x4 tenon joint. The 3/4 inch thickness is a little thicker than recommended but still comes out well. The extra thickness makes it so you can't make a full depth cut in one pass or you'll be left with a groove down the side. Wood instead of profiled shape on the edge otherwise the router bit isn't high enough To fix this, simply place a piece of cardboard on the router table, guide the piece, push the cardboard aside and run. I've had the best results. Run it a third time quite slowly to make it nice and smooth. Using my hand I made 12 foot 1x8's for the socket at the bottom of the skin this way. It takes a bit of fiddling to get the height right so they fit together exactly straight, but once installed you're done. Check my photos to see. Really happy with how it turned out.
