Earlier this month my laundry room was renovated with a total of 7 new 2 door cabinets. I didn't buy expensive cabinets as it's just a utility room and I needed to save on expenses. A few years ago I had a new kitchen installed and all the doors were soft closing. Well I'm used to it and I like it. Too bad I didn't get the same for the utility room. After hearing the door bang a few times as it was closing, I decided to see if I could buy something to make the doors close quietly. Went to Revane but didn't really know what to look for. Tried different things and finally found them! Mute! Based on the reviews they appear to be good but some were upset that this was a plastic covered nickel. I went with good reviews and only bought two so I could try. They arrived very well packaged with clear instructions on how to install. Now I'm not a spring chicken at 78 (female), but it was so easy a kid could install it! To help me hold it in place (old hands shake a bit), I used a piece of tape to secure it while I screwed in the screw. The first time I close the door. still"jumped". Big disappointment. Then I remembered a small adjustment on the back. A few turns and again tried the door. Ideal! no noise I like it! Went back to Revain and ordered 10 packs so I could make all the cabinets. We'll come back for a few more for the bathrooms. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this product. Looks good, easy to assemble, does the job. What more do you want?
