Review on 23.6 Inch Pop-Up Insect & Butterfly Habitat Cage By RESTCLOUD by Eric Glup

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I'm not a fan of keeping butterflies locked up - but

This year I had a butterfly that could not fly. It was heartbreaking - he was perfect in every way but just could not fly. I bought a bunch of flowers in pony packs (flowers that are picked stop producing nectar) in there. - I got about six pony packs in there, with room for a bit of cantaloupe with a small reservoir for gatorade. During the day I sat him on a plant in the garden, and during the evening he came inside. He lasted 27 days and I was glad to get to know him. But I wouldn't keep a butterfly confined for very long. These are well-made and when I was done I let it soak in bleach water (I cup bleach to 10 cups of water) for 20 minutes. and then rinsed it. You want to wash it after each use as there is a parasite (OE) that can be transferred. There are probably a lot of things.

Pros
  • Professional Version: Monarch butterfly habitat is more square, sits straight, does not rock or move.
Cons
  • The mesh is not strong enough to withstand the weight of larger insects, leading to tearing or breakage
