If you use Atoto A6.

Connect a 10kΩ resistor to ground and connect the other end of the orange/black key wire to the car. This lowers the voltage and also toggles the dip switch on the white box that lowers the voltage. I programmed 6 buttons and it works like a champ. You have to experiment a little.
