I have gradually replaced my straps with click adjustable straps and this is another good option. I've read about bad looks or some other flaws but didn't come across the three I bought (different colors all work great). Many years ago I learned through my work that the inventor of the ratchet strap never received a patent and anyone can use this mechanism. So while manufacturers try to claim ownership and trademark rights, the mechanism is the same. What you should probably be aware of is that you are more likely to get what you pay for, so cheap and cheap quality go hand in hand.
