Nice exhaust tip for 2012 Equinox 4cyl

I didn't give it 5 stars because I haven't broken it in yet. If it hasn't changed color, faded, fallen off, etc. after a few months, I reserve the right to come back and give a positive update. Otherwise it fits my 2012 Equinox 4cyl and looks great. Please note that at first glance it doesn't seem to fit, but after some effort (pushing, twisting) it slipped, albeit quite reluctantly. It's probably best to keep it snug to minimize the risk of it loosening over time. I positioned the fastener (nut and bolt) up so it wasn't visible so the logo was facing down, but who cares. Not sure if this is the recommended orientation, but this worked for me. By the way, there were no instructions. Finally, there's room for adjustment if you want to move the tip farther or farther from the exhaust pipe. However, the range here can be an inch at best. Since the end of the exhaust pipe is cut at an angle, make sure you attach the inlet pipe properly to the entire part of the exhaust pipe and not the part that you could easily hurt if you pull the tip too far. Much luck. Update: Originally purchased in May 2012 it's been almost a year now and the exhaust tip still hasn't disappointed. It has survived rain, snow, mud, long car rides, etc. It has a few scratches and chips but it lives up to the terrain. The highlights are that it hasn't wobbled or tarnished much from wear and tear. What happened and what you should expect is the formation of black soot from the exhaust. The important thing here is that it won't stick to stainless steel and most comes off with a damp cloth which will return it to good condition although I wouldn't say it looks new. I'm leaving it at 4 stars as I can't add half a star and I highly recommend it.
