I bought these for a 1965 Ford Mustang 289 with a four speed transmission. The car had a set of headers (unknown brand Art. 6111) but they didn't allow removing any of the spark plugs, they were rusty and dented in several places. To get her out of the car I had to jack up the engine. The new Hedman 88660 headers simply slide and bolt onto the engine. There was no need to jack up or move the engine. However, the passenger side touched the bell and a pipe (#6) on the driver's side rested on top of the equalizer pivot (so it couldn't be reinstalled). I also found that they didn't have enough room to tighten the spark plugs in #5 and #6 with a socket (the socket did fit the spark plug but was so close to the tube that it couldn't be removed, as soon as the candle was lit) and it was impossible to get an outlet at number 8. That's a shame as there was enough room in the engine bay for them when the passenger side was designed to offset the right side an inch and the #6 pipe was lengthened an inch to make room for the balancer. I see that all the spark plugs are easily accessible even with a little movement of some piping. Just trying to get a cheap kit to work with as I haven't decided yet if I want to keep this motor. I know that when I installed the kit on a '65 Mustang I had in the early '70s the fit was good and I was able to get to all the connectors. Now, almost 40 years later, my research shows that finding the right headlines isn't easy. I will order a kit from another manufacturer.
