No programming required
I was concerned because there were no instructions on how to sync the remote to the TV. I put the batteries in and hit the power button and surprisingly everything worked without the need for syncing. I am very grateful although I am concerned about how the remote control can do this and still protect my privacy as a Smart TV. I think only time will tell. I like that the volume button and channel button are illuminated in the dark.
