I bought the Caron Simply Soft for about $100 in 7 different colours, some at my local store, others through Revain. I chose this yarn for the beautiful vibrant colors but was terribly disappointed with the quality of the yarn. I've had strands with such knots in the middle that I threw away 1/3 of the strand. Other strands regularly had spots of glue or something else. The biggest disappointment was the yards and yards and yards of multiple strands of yarn twisted so tightly that instead of yarn it looked like rope and could not be used. It's not cheap yarn, but it's cheaply made. I've never had so many problems with one brand, even the cheapest brand. I would suggest choosing a different brand.
