Updated Dell Inspiron 15 - 3542 (running Ubuntu 20.04), Dell Inspiron 1720 (running Lubuntu 20.04)

December 15, 2020 : - Good packaging with small plastic box. A very good quality. Updated Dell Inspiron 15-3542 (Core i3) to support AC and 5GHz WiFi. It was just plug and play on Ubuntu 20.04. No adjustments/settings required. The earlier card only supported Wi-Fi N and 2.4 GHz. This card is BT 4.0 and the old one I replaced is BT 4.1. I don't care as long as it supports BLE. I verified that he did it by connecting the BBC micro:bit to him via BLE and it was easy to do. I have successfully verified that it is Wi-Fi AC using "wavemon" and other command line tools in Ubuntu. I updated my WiFi settings with "nm-connection-editor" to use only AC for my WiFi connection. But just make sure your WiFi hotspot is also AC before doing so. Now I don't get "bad internet connection" messages during video calls at all. Fingers crossed ;-). 06/12/2021 - This card has been working without problems for over 7 months. I upgraded my Inspiron 15-3542 laptop to an Intel 7265HMW Wifi-AC card since it had BT 4.2. I ported this 7260HMW Wifi-AC card to an older Inspiron 1720 (running Lubuntu 20.04) where it works fine with 5GHz Wifi-AC and BT4.0. Try to get a 7265HMW Wifi-AC if you can find one (seems to be rare) as it's even a few bucks cheaper than the 7260HMW Wifi-AC and has a newer BT version. If not then the 7260HMW is a great card too.
