Review on 🌷 Tulip Etimo Rose Crochet Hook in 8/5mm - Top Choice for Crafters by Tulip Company by Denise Davis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very comfortable

I usually use Boye brand aluminum hooks and prefer the old ones. I ordered this Tulip hook after reading reviews of hooks from Clover, Tulip and others looking for a brand to try due to the increasing arthritis pain in my hands. I'd rather not give away my crochet work. I don't have Clover brand hooks, but from the reviews I've read, these hooks seem to be "built in" rather than Bates hooks. I don't like bates crochet probably because I learned how to crochet boye. The tulip hook is very similar in shape to Boye hooks. One difference, at least with this #8, 5.0mm single hook, is that the hook isn't as deep as my Boye hooks. This shouldn't be a problem as long as you use the correct needle for the yarn you are using. The handle of the Tulip hook is very comfortable to hold. It's more than just a simple aluminum hook that's helping me with my arthritis pain. I hold my hooks like a pencil and the thumb rest is very comfortable. Just enough for my thumb to rest on naturally. The material that makes up the handle is soft to the touch but doesn't pinch. Overall I am very happy with this tulip hook. Tulips cost more than a Boye crochet and aren't that easy to find in regular stores, but I think they're worth the price for helping me make the art I love. I plan to invest in the whole set as much as possible.
