Review on Superior Performance: ASUS USB-AC68 AC1900 Dual-Band USB 3.0 WiFi Adapter with Cradle by Runbi Alvarez

Absolutely no issues, still very decent upload/download speeds and my wife is happy with her computer again. Average 22-27MB upload and 19-25MB upload (2x-3x better than my previous product) with 100MB ISP service. Ping on average 15-19 ms. Note. This test is run using a speed test service that is not affiliated with my ISP. I could be wrong, but my ISP's "speed test" always shows very high results, which I don't think are "real". My computer is about 50 feet from my router with a few walls in between (standard wallboard/wood frame house). Hope that helps. Initial Review: Purchased this item to replace a much older product that seemed acceptable at the time. However, when my ISP "upgraded" my data transfer rate from 25MB to 50MB at no extra charge, I found I couldn't take advantage of it. I already have an ASUS router (recently bought) so I've decided to stick with it. ASUS product line, especially after reading positive reviews about this product. After receiving the product, I installed the CD drivers and immediately updated them from the ASUS website (not sure if I just duplicated what I already did, but I did it anyway). Plugged in an ASUS device, went to my WiFi page and found my router. Enter the password and I was ready to go. The speed is definitely faster than before, I'm not sure if I'm getting all the available "blasts" but it definitely does what I need. I'm sure someone better at this than me could "fine tune" the installation. One small issue was that it seemed to take a few tries to "remember" the connection after I turned off the power. personal computer I had to "reconnect" but in the end it "remembered" the link and is now working fine. I'm not sure if this is an "idiot at the screen" error or something in Windows 10. I hope this helps any other "newbie" looking to install this device.
