Review on 🦃 ROKR Thanksgiving Mechanical Educational Engineering Kit by Anthony Cornelius

I bought this on a whim as I thought it would be fun to show my 3 year old great grandson when he comes to visit next month. I've worked with both wooden and plastic models, so I figured it wouldn't be difficult to put them together. All parts are made from stamped or laser cut sheet metal, very precisely cut and none are cracked or broken. My thumb hurt a little and chipped on all the pieces, but someone with longer nails wouldn't have my problem. Everything went pretty smoothly, but the final marble runs require some finesse. Judicious use of pliers will help join parts in multiple places. Be sure to use wax to lubricate all surfaces that move relative to each other, especially the cams! The end result was pretty durable and fun to use. Only one area is a bit loose after playing for a while so I'll probably add some glue to that joint. It took about 4 or 5 hours over 2 days to assemble and was hard to put down once I started. I think a skilled 12 year old could handle the build with a little help. Highly recommended!
