I wish I had seen this years ago. The lid keeps shit from the air entering the garage from getting into the bucket when not in use. It's nice to keep some of the bigger cleaning supplies in a bucket and keep them away from the same contaminants. The seal allows for soapy water/clean water to be taken to the car wash in winter and this is a plus if you live in the mid-Atlantic region. The guards are at work. Seeing what got stuck in the bottom of the bucket was amazing. Buy a set of 2 laundry buckets with 2 buckets and add a washboard attachment to the rinse bucket sand guard.
