I have a castor for my Datsun 510 and it works great! But I've learned that when using an Eastwood Professional brake flaring tool, it's best not to clean the tube before flaring. I know that habit was hard to break, but if I cleaned it with a steel cord like you did, it would twist right under the torch and the torch nut wouldn't fit properly. I found checking for burrs after flaring was the best way to clean it up. I bent it with a small Harbor Freight tube bender along with a pair of bending pliers, and I didn't use my large tube bender. Some of the curves were even made with some bases and molding glasses. Most of them were made by hand. If I need to make lines on another machine again I will definitely use this product again!
