The hole in the plastic insert was too wide, allowing the flag to slide on the pole. My previous flags had a plastic insert with a metal washer that kept the flag from sliding down. I read another review from a person who had the same problem. They used tape around the flagpole to widen it. We did that too and it worked. It's not visible, so nobody can say that we had to solve the problem. Now it's perfect!
