I have been a golf instructor for over 50 years, a golf instructor for over 15 years and have tried many devices on a personal and instructor level to enhance the golfing experience. It's expensive, no, but it doesn't have to be, it will teach you things about swinging golf that would cost a lot more to understand in a golf class. This will help you understand the width of your arms on your backswing and even give you feedback on passing the ball correctly on your downswing. To be honest I was skeptical about buying the LC-1 but I liked the concept and it works. Personally I think it's a great learning or teaching tool and having played, suffered and seen others suffer in this game for 55 years, I think it has great potential to help many golfers learn the most important part of the game Understand swings in golf.
