This microscope far exceeds my expectations! I used it to look at the flowers. Depth of field is GREAT! I feel like I'm being sucked into another world when I look into the flower - a bit like Alice in Wonderland. It's very different from my compound microscope, so I had to get used to using the zoom. and focus knobs - but it's very easy once you work with it a bit. Using this microscope opens up a whole new world for me and makes me appreciate things I've enjoyed (like flowers) in a new way. For example, if you look closely in my first photo, you'll see "Peony Eggs!" It's in a wilted peony blossom. I bought the camera separately and use it in the 3rd eye space. The only frustrating part about using a camera is that the photo doesn't capture the incredible depth of field that can be seen straight through a microscope. The camera lens "smooths out" the image so it's not as amazing as what you see through the eyepiece. so we bought one separately and it works great. I looked through the eyecups until I removed the rubber rings that came with them. I'm not sure what to do, but I've found them to get in my way. I have to take my eyes off the eyecups a bit to get a good view. But it's good because it relaxes my eyes more. than having them around. I have no cons to share. I LOVE this microscope and I think everyone should have one to see how amazing nature is.
