I bought this to clean some dents in my car's front grille. I'm driving a low ride Miate and someone got behind my front end and left a few swollen nicks that deformed the clear coat and primer. Think about what a broken cone looks like. I had to sand down two symmetrical spots the size of a coin before adjusting the color. This pen was perfect for the job as the fiberglass bristles snap off allowing you to make more strokes without feeling like you're damaging an existing surface. It took about 20 minutes of thorough "brushing" to work through both the clear coat and base coat, but the result was a nice and even finish in preparation for the repair. With that in mind, I highly recommend wearing gloves for this. Again, there are lots of fine fiberglass bristles that shear off and form the powder where it falls. This powder contains tiny pine needle-like shards of glass that WILL, and believe me, WILL pierce your fingers and get stuck there. Now I'm not going to say how I know this, but let's just say it took me a little longer than usual to handtype this.
