Don't mess with this brand - waste of time.

Bought to add to my scanners mainly for troubleshooting and clearing SRS codes. I liked the screen and the navigation. I hated everything else. First, the update process/function is useless. Following confusing instructions is bad enough only for customer service to inform me that the instructions have been "updated" and sent me the corrected PDF. Even if these instructions were followed exactly, I could not download the updates. I have a Windows 10 PC and the updater was flagged as "unknown publisher" by Windows Defender. I would think that nowadays it would be an easy decision for the manufacturer (i.e. to code the program properly). So with no update I plugged the scanner into a 2002 Honda Accord OBDII port to read the active SRS code. After finally getting to the SRS module (again convoluted instructions and confusion to get there) he correctly flagged the seat belt buckle trouble code. After fixing the buckle (easy fix) I tried resetting the SRS code. NO. Code is not sanitized. Another round of service and they tell me SRS codes CANNOT be reset on a 2002 Honda, only 2004 and up! Oh God. time to return. The ONLY positive experience through this whole ordeal was the fairly responsive customer service via Revain's seller contact feature. Today, making a scanner is not that difficult. This technology is widely used in the scanner industry and most of them have been applied successfully. I'll buy another brand and see what happens. Wish me luck!
