Correct replacement for C6Z

Works as intended. Easy enough replacement - took maybe 90 minutes. You'll probably need to loosen (not completely remove) the passenger exhaust manifold bolts to allow the pipe to move the half inch that I need to clear. Getting the old one out was harder than putting the new one in. Tip: When installing a new one, remove the plastic cover (switched to metal on later models) that sits between the starter and the block. That's a screw. Place the plastic piece around the starter where it should be and then connect the two pieces together. Without them I can't get the starter physically fit. The angle I had to work with didn't allow it to fit in the small hole in the plastic piece. Removing it gave me loads of space and it was done in 30 seconds.

Pros
  • NEW Blocks are manufactured to ISO quality standards to ensure consistent quality
Cons
  • poorly designed
