Review on 🔌 GE 50542 Receptacle Tester, Gray/Yellow - 3-Wire Light Improper Wiring Indicator by Marcos Oner

I replaced an old ungrounded two prong outlet in my apartment that went to my fridge, I kept the wires in the same orientation and checked with a multimeter to see if it was hot to ground turned on as hot out and neutral got swapped and I had to unplug the circuit again to redo the wiring. I've always wanted one of these devices, small, affordable and time-saving. If I had this device I wouldn't have to redo the wiring. As soon as I got the tester, I went back to that outlet and made sure everything was fine, then ran around my apartment and checked all the outlets to make sure they were all fine. Some had the same problem, hot and neutral reversed, some ungrounded but most were fine and grounded. It helps to have a short extension cord when using it in hard-to-reach places where you can't plug the device directly and see the three LEDs.
