Good replacement price - WASTE MONEY - Unit failed after 3 months
Replaces the old unit. After 3 months the batteries started beeping - they were new when this unit was plugged into the wall. The case next to the battery compartment was torn off at the seam. There seems to be too much pressure from the batteries and failsafe red bars to check the batteries in the battery compartment. I emailed Kidde 4 days ago, they claim 72 hours response - still no response.
