Solid brass, nice tight fit. The valve body has the manufacturer's identifying emblem, like the Horiznext valves that include clips for $2 more. I looked at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace. These 3/8" double diameter hoses and ball valve are used to shut off the fuel line to and from my boat diesel tank. I was just filling a 20 gallon tank and found a deformed head and a blown gasket. It was time to to take the engine out for repairs, but there was no way to disconnect the diesel from the tank.
