Review on ๐Ÿฒ GJS Gourmet Floating Valve and Seal Ring Compatible With Fagor LUX Multi-Cooker Electric Pressure Cooker - Alternative Valve not from Fagor by Jeff Swanson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

The o-ring is flimsy - not at all the quality o-ring that Fagor uses.

I bought this item to replace the float valve on my Fagor Lux Multi Pot 8 qt. The valve stem itself looks the same. However, the silicon padding is cheap and flimsy - not strong at all on the sides and heavier compared to the original model. Fagor quality float valve left - replacement, right. I don't hope the seal will last forever. I think a rubber band wrapped around the valve stem would be more durable in terms of construction. I was a bit shocked at the quality of the pads as the item cost almost $10. Unfortunately, Fagor went bankrupt. Rumor has it that they have reorganized under a new brand โ€“ Zavor. Zavor doesn't appear to be offering any parts at the moment. The Fagor website is not available. A very pathetic way of dealing with customers who have invested quite generously in their products only to leave the customer on the street. 5 stars for the seemingly identical rod. 1 star for a shockingly cheap gasket that certainly won't work properly due to the bulge in the middle.
