I bought it in September 2022 at a good client discount along with an adapter for 91,700, which is very good by today's standards. Prior to that, since 2022, the 5D mark ii has been in use. In comparison, the new R-ka is just space in terms of speed, accuracy and focusing speed! This difference is especially felt when using "non-native" glasses. For example, my Sigma 35mm 1.4, which, in conjunction with a patch, often back-focused on open apertures and because of this gave out a lot of marriage, has now been transformed beyond recognition and works like a native L lens! Focus hit close to ideal! Focus on the eyes is generally something unimaginable for me. Now shooting family and portraits has become an unconditional pleasure, when you are completely immersed in the process and are sure that the camera will not let you down and technical defects will not ruin good shots (this used to happen quite often due to the imperfect focusing system of the second mark 2). The only unpleasant moment is the so-called concentric circles in the photo with non-native optics, which, however, are easily treated by simple manipulations in the camera settings. Pleased with the ability to reassign buttons. This slightly underestimates the imperfection of ergonomics (see disadvantages). The swivel touchscreen is a thing that needs to get used to. Due to some lag that is present in the operation of the screen and electronic viewfinder, shooting dynamic scenes is not entirely comfortable, but you can get used to this. Particularly pleased with the compatibility of batteries with 5D.
It's also nice that my entire fleet of lenses is perfectly compatible with the camera through an adapter: Sigma 35mm, Canon 17-40 mm, 85mm 1.8, 135 mm 2.0, 300mm l 4.0 - they all work great and work flawlessly in conjunction. In terms of price-quality ratio, I think that I have found my ideal.
You can put up with the shortcomings, in the end, the advantages of the camera for me personally cover them with a margin.
