A sealed battery is a terrible idea. I bought this from Home Depot 6 hours ago. Came home, pocketed it and he said "press test" as expected. I did this and the alarm went off and stayed on the entire time. Doesn't detect CO2, just defective. Unfortunately, with a soldered battery, there is no other way to knock it out than with a hammer. I spent 20 minutes dealing with the blaring alarm before wrapping it in duct tape to muffle the sound a bit and taking it back to Home Depot where we smashed it with a hammer to stop it. My hearing is still very weak. and if it doesn't come back by tomorrow, I'll go to the doctor and have it checked out. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!
