I was expecting a softer wave like the model in the picture. Instead, I got a really tight curl that turned into a fro. I tried a few more times to get a wave or a softer curl but it didn't work out the way I expected. At the same time, they are very easy to insert and don't bother me at all. Which is weird because I usually look like the princess on the pea, even the seam on my pajamas keeps me from sleeping.
