Review on Vitamix Vita Mix Drive Socket Instructions by Ryan Gilliam
Not suitable for hand tools
Desperately needed a part for my smoothie shop so was glad it had next day delivery. However, this part does not fit my XL machine. The bag that came with it says it's an XL socket. Shank on XL is too wide for this part. Pictured is an old broken piece. It doesn't have a piece of metal in the middle. This part appears to be the same size as my other non-XL socket Vitamix drives. I have 5200 and vita prep. Update: Received item from another seller (right in third photo). The new part fits XL. Please note that there is no metal part in the middle and the black plastic hole is square. The part that doesn't fit has a metal part in the middle and the black plastic is round so it won't fit even if the metal part is removed.
