purchased as a gift for my wife (she said she wanted them) I watched her slice thru a potatoe like it was butter. the knife litteraly glided thru no resistance at all no force. They are SHARP and worth the money Wife has been extremely happy using these knives. Please note as per the instructions they are hand wash only do not put them in dishwasher. So if you can't commit to hand washing your knives then this is an expensive set to ruin in the dishwasher.
